He initially messaged her via WhatsApp. Although Sara declined his advances, repeated attempts eventually convinced her to accept a box of chocolates. But the surprise didn’t end there—the box also contained a high-end Franck Muller watch worth nearly ₹10 lakh. Despite accepting the gift, Sara did not engage further.
A New Target: Janhvi Kapoor and a Suspicious Invitation
On July 19, 2021, Sukesh’s wife reached out to Janhvi Kapoor under the pretext of inviting her to a store opening. What wasn’t known at the time was that the money being used for the event had been fraudulently extracted from a Delhi businessman. It soon became evident that Sukesh’s wife played a crucial role in orchestrating these setups and interactions with celebrities.
Nora Fatehi: An Invitation That Came with Strings
In Tamil Nadu, an event was organized under Sukesh’s wife’s name, and Nora Fatehi was invited with a payment of ₹12.47 lakh. Following the event, a conference call took place involving Sukesh, his wife, and Nora. Initially hesitant, Nora eventually gave in. Within the same month, she received a luxury BMW. This was just the beginning.
The Jacqueline Fernandez Chapter: The Most Entangled Link
One of the most talked-about connections in this scandal is Jacqueline Fernandez. It all started with a mysterious phone call to her makeup artist. The caller introduced himself as Shekhar Ratnavela, claiming to be from the Home Ministry, a relative of Jayalalithaa, and owner of Sun TV. This claim was enough to get Jacqueline’s team to take him seriously.
Eventually, Sukesh and Jacqueline began speaking regularly. He sent her gifts and convinced her to meet him in Chennai. While Sukesh was supposedly in jail, he managed to secure bail by faking his father’s illness. There were even attempts to threaten a judge for bail using fake calls disguised as coming from a Supreme Court judge—something that eventually led to more legal trouble.
Their first meeting in Chennai saw Sukesh fly Jacqueline in on a private jet. He greeted her with luxury items including Chanel and Gucci bags, Louis Vuitton shoes, diamond rings, a multicolored gemstone bracelet, and even a Mini Cooper, which Jacqueline later returned. These aren’t rumors; they come straight from the ED charge sheet.
Gifts That Crossed Borders
Sukesh’s influence extended beyond Jacqueline alone. He reportedly sent $150,000 to Jacqueline’s sister in the U.S., claiming it was a loan. He also sent $50,000 to her brother in Australia and arranged a car for her parents in Bahrain. Throughout their time together, Jacqueline mostly traveled within India via chartered flights. At one point, Sukesh even gifted her three Persian cats worth ₹9 lakh each and a ₹52 lakh Arabian horse. On Valentine’s Day, he sent her a custom Tiffany diamond with “J&S” engraved on it.
The Hollywood Dream
Not stopping at gifts, Sukesh even initiated work on a web series starring Jacqueline. He hired writer Advaita Kala and paid ₹17 lakh in cash to begin work on the script. Jacqueline admitted that Sukesh would ask her to select items directly from showrooms. After picking out the items, he would make the payments and send her the receipts, which she then used to collect the goods through her manager.
Cracks Begin to Show
Eventually, Jacqueline’s friend Shaan showed her some news articles and videos revealing Sukesh’s fraudulent background. She also sent the same clips to Pinky Irani, a mutual contact.
